Thanksgiving Tabletop: Classic Country with Modern Flair

Good morning, lovelies! With Thanksgiving less than two weeks away, we have been whipping up recipes and creating tabletop inspiration to help with your planning for the big feast. First up, is a tabletop that is a mix of classic country with some modern flair.

I love it when a tabletop tells a story...when the pieces that are put together are not just purely decorative but also reflect history or have meaning behind why they were chosen. I go about putting together most of my tabelscapes with this in mind, especially during the holidays. I won't take you through each piece here as that would most likely put you to sleep, but will share that since Victor is from Ireland, I wove in some pieces that gave a nod to his home country. The silverware is from Ireland and was a wedding present from his best friend from boarding school, and the place card holders represent the quintessential Irish lamb.

I placed dried red corn at each setting that not only serve for decoration, but also can be taken home by guests and then made into popcorn.

I also arranged mums in individual vintage vases that make for thoughtful Thanksgiving party favors too.

Have you started thinking about your Thanksgiving table yet? We would love to hear your ideas! And stay tuned for a lot more holiday inspiration next week.
