My favorite local farmers market in CT has opened up for their 2014 season - the Chester Sunday Market. It's a weekly town-wide market that hosts only local vendors who sell produce, meats, cheeses, breads, flowers, and more. Right in the center of town on Main street amongst all the shops and restaurants, live music plays while you wander around and bump into friends who have baskets overflowing with seasonal produce for the week. You feel the community buzz as patrons learn about local agriculture, recipes are exchanged, and impromptu dinner invitations are extended.
